Our Ambassadors
Resident Ambassadors Help Shape the Work
Live Healthy Spartanburg’s Resident Ambassadors connect neighborhood voices to community health efforts across the county. By sharing lived experiences, identifying local challenges, and helping guide conversations, ambassadors play an important role in shaping the priorities and solutions that improve health and wellbeing in Spartanburg County.
The 2025 cohort is focused on building community power to create change — strengthening connections, sharing information, and helping ensure community perspectives help guide local health initiatives.
The Resident Ambassador Program is supported by the Institute of Women & Ethnic Studies through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Becoming an Ambassador
Spartanburg residents are selected to serve as Resident Ambassadors through a competitive application process that includes community recommendations and in-person interviews. Each ambassador should bring a deep understanding of their community and a commitment to helping residents have a voice in local health efforts.
The ambassadors participate in community events, leadership development opportunities, and trainings designed to strengthen engagement, build local leadership skills, and help identify the needs and priorities of neighborhoods across Spartanburg County.

Youth Ambassadors
Youth Ambassadors are emerging leaders who engage their peers and communities in health, wellness, and positive development. They serve as trusted youth voices, promoting resources, supporting local initiatives, and helping create environments where young people can thrive. Youth Ambassadors bridge gaps between youth and the services, programs, and opportunities designed to support their well-being.
